Refunds & Returns Policy

Her Horizon Coaching
Last updated: 8 October 2026

At Her Horizon Coaching, we are committed to delivering high-quality coaching, advisory services, workshops and educational resources.

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. It explains how cancellations, refunds, transfers and rescheduling are handled across our products and services.

This policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Where a separate agreement applies to a particular service or engagement, that agreement governs the specific terms of that engagement, subject to applicable law.

1. General Policy

Due to the nature of our services, which may involve reserved time, advance preparation, personalised work and immediate access to digital materials, purchases are not ordinarily refundable for a change of mind once delivery has commenced.

Refund eligibility depends on the nature of the purchase, the stage of delivery and any applicable statutory rights.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer protection legislation.

2. Digital Products and Educational Resources

Digital products and resources, including online courses, recordings, downloadable materials, templates, workbooks and other educational content, are generally non-refundable once access has been provided or delivery has occurred.

We encourage customers to review product descriptions carefully and contact us with any questions before purchasing.

If a digital product is defective, inaccessible or materially different from its description, please contact us so that we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy.

Any applicable statutory cooling-off, cancellation or refund rights remain unaffected.

3. Workshops and Live Events

Workshop and live-event bookings are transferable rather than refundable, except where required by applicable law.

Cancellation or transfer by the participant

If you are unable to attend a workshop or live event:

  • You may request to transfer your booking to another participant, subject to prior written approval.

  • Alternatively, you may request to transfer your booking to a future workshop or event, subject to availability and any applicable price difference.

  • All transfer requests must be submitted in writing at least 48 hours before the scheduled start of the event.

  • Transfer requests received within 48 hours may be considered at our discretion.

  • Failure to attend without prior notice does not automatically entitle a participant to a refund, credit or transfer.

Transfers are subject to confirmation by Her Horizon Coaching and are not guaranteed.

Cancellation or changes by Her Horizon Coaching

If we cancel a paid event, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to a rescheduled event.

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to event arrangements, including the venue, format, content or schedule, where necessary.

If an event is postponed or materially changed due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will communicate the available options and honour all applicable statutory rights.

We are not ordinarily responsible for independently arranged travel, accommodation or other third-party expenses, except where liability arises under applicable law.

4. Personalised Coaching, Advisory and Diagnostic Services

Personalised coaching, business advisory, strategic consulting and diagnostic services may involve advance preparation, review of client information, reserved appointments and individually tailored deliverables.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

Where work has not commenced, refund requests will be assessed in accordance with the applicable agreement and statutory rights.

Once personalised work has commenced with the client's consent, refunds are not ordinarily available for a change of mind, subject to applicable law.

Where a service has been substantially or fully delivered in accordance with the agreed scope, refunds are not ordinarily offered except where required by law.

If a service has not been delivered as agreed, please contact us so that we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy.

5. Coaching and Advisory Programmes

Ongoing coaching, group programmes and longer-term advisory engagements are governed by their respective service agreements.

These agreements may specify:

  • Programme duration and scope of services.

  • Payment obligations and payment schedules.

  • Cancellation and early-termination provisions.

  • Rescheduling and non-attendance arrangements.

  • Any applicable refund or cancellation charges.

Fees for services already delivered are generally non-refundable, subject to the applicable agreement and statutory rights.

Where a separate agreement applies, its terms take precedence over this general policy to the extent permitted by law.

6. Payment Plans

Where payment plans are offered, they represent an agreed method of paying for a product, programme or service.

A payment plan does not automatically constitute a month-to-month subscription or create a right to cancel the underlying purchase at any time.

Unless otherwise provided in the applicable agreement or required by law, choosing to pay in instalments does not change the total agreed purchase price.

Any outstanding payment obligations following cancellation or termination will be determined by the applicable agreement and relevant legislation.

7. Rescheduling Appointments

Appointments associated with coaching, advisory or consulting services may be rescheduled subject to availability and the terms communicated at booking or in the relevant service agreement.

We ask clients to provide as much notice as reasonably possible when requesting a change.

Repeated cancellations, late rescheduling or non-attendance may result in an appointment being treated as delivered where this is provided for in the applicable agreement and permitted by law.

8. Payment Disputes

If you believe a payment has been processed incorrectly or have concerns about a purchase, please contact us so that we can investigate and attempt to resolve the matter.

We encourage customers to contact us before initiating a payment dispute, where practical.

Nothing in this section restricts the right to raise a legitimate dispute with a payment provider or exercise applicable consumer rights.

9. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved or legally required, it will ordinarily be issued to the original payment method where possible.

Refunds will be processed within any timeframe required by applicable law or, where no specific timeframe applies, within a reasonable period.

The time taken for funds to appear may depend on the relevant bank or payment provider.

10. Consumer Rights

This policy is intended to operate in accordance with applicable South African legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of
